Residency Overview
Garden City Hospital’s residency program in Family Medicine provides flexibility by allowing the resident to focus their rotations based on their individual interests. Features of the program include
- Continuity clinic within an established suburban Family Medicine practice
- Experience with office procedures, OMT, and the business side of running a practice
- Weekly Family Medicine conferences with faculty participation at GCH
- Affilated with Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine Statewide Campus System, with monthly Education Days and workshops
- Opportunities for those residents interested in pursuing Certificates of Additional Qualification to work with faculty in Sports Medicine, Addiction Medicine, and Palliative Care.

Information for Applicants for 2010
Garden City Hospital is offering a $3,000 primary care incentive bonus for residents in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine and OBGYN, payable after advancement to OGME-2. Applications are accepted via ERAS.
Program Director:
Michael Burry, DO
Dr. Burry is a graduate of Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his internship and residency training at Garden City Hospital and is board certified in Family Medicine. Dr. Burry is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine.
