Housing
Garden City Hospital offers student housing to osteopathic medical students on a first-come, first-served basis, primarily for students who are visiting from out of state. There is no charge for housing. Apartments are furnished and are located within walking distance or a short drive from the Hospital. Linens, towels and housekeeping services (every other week) are provided by the Hospital. Students are expected to maintain these facilities.
Meals and Parking
Meals are available at no charge in the hospital cafeteria during regular hours. There is no charge for parking. Students may park in the visitor lot adjacent to the Main Entrance on their first day. Instructions for employee parking will be provided at that time.
Orientation
An orientation program is held each Monday morning for students new to Garden City Hospital. Medical Education staff will provide you with helpful information. Externs will be issued a photo ID badge and a pager for use during their rotation.
