Neurology
Residency Overview The Neurology Residency is a three-year program following a preliminary year internship. Applicants are accepted through the osteopathic Match for OGME-1, which consists of a broad-based internship with emphasis in Neurology. Following this initial year, residency training in OGME-2 through OGME-5 includes an active consult service at Garden City Hospital, rotations at the Michigan Institute for Neurological Disorders (MIND) and other affiliated sites.
Selection Process Applications are accepted through ERAS. Interviews are scheduled during the fall. It is anticipated that GCH will offer one or two positions for 2010-2011. A rotation on the GCH Neurology Service is helpful but not required.

Program Director: Anne Pawlak, DO, FACN
 Dr. Pawlak is a graduate of Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her internship here at Garden City Hospital and residency in Neurology at Botsford General Hospital, including training in EEG and EMG at Harper Hospital in Detroit. Dr. Pawlak is board certified in Neurology by the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry, and is a Fellow of the American College of Neurology. She is a five-time recipient of the Intern Trainer of the Year at Garden City Hospital. Dr. Pawlak has served on numerous national committees, is a Past Chief of Staff, and is a current member of the Garden City Hospital Board of Trustees.
